Hi, I'm Chris waving hand

From Therapist to Tax Prep

You became a therapist to help people—not to drown in paperwork and tax forms.

  • Quarterly tax estimates
  • Therapy practice deductions
  • 1099 forms
  • LLC vs S-Corp tax questions

Let me take this off your plate—from one therapist to another—so you can get back to what matters.

What I Do

Taxes for therapists can be confusing, time-consuming, and scary. I help you simplify it so you know what to pay, what you can deduct, and how to stay organized without wasting time or money.

Here’s what I help with now:
Tax preparation (Form 1040 + Schedule C for solo practices)
Bookkeeping cleanup and organization
Quarterly tax estimate planning
Deduction tracking and education
Document collection and prep for filing
Explanation of 1099s and therapist-specific write-offs

Not a solo therapist? If you’re a freelancer, coach, or small therapy group practice, I might still be a good fit. Feel free to reach out.

About Me

  • Therapist to Tax Prep
I’ve been a licensed therapist since 2020 and have worked in the mental health field for over a decade. Like many therapists, I found myself doing more paperwork than I ever expected. Over time, I realized I actually liked that part more than seeing clients (seriously).

  • How I'm Different
I’m meticulous, systems-oriented, and like making complicated things feel simple and doable. Eventually I realized I could help more by helping therapists behind the scenes—cleaning up the parts of private practice that most people dread.

  • Translation
I work quietly, thoroughly, and asynchronously—so you don’t need to worry about scheduling calls or feeling rushed. You’ll get the clarity you need, without the overwhelm. No judgment, no force, no tears.

  • My Location
I’m based in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (two hours west of Philadelphia). When I’m not working, I’m usually out for a walk, making something strange in the kitchen, or trying to keep my houseplants alive.

How It Works

  1. Fill out a short intake form (Start Here)
Just a few questions about your practice, how you get paid, and what services you need.
  2. Upload your documents
I’ll send a welcome email with a secure link where you can upload tax forms, expense lists, and anything else relevant. You don't have to organize it for me, you can dump it all in a secure folder.
  3. I’ll review everything and get to work
You’ll hear from me if I need clarification. Otherwise, I’ll just handle it.
  4. You review before finalization
You’ll get a clear summary of what I did—your estimated refund or balance due, how your documents were organized, or what cleanup was performed. If anything needs adjusting, I’ll take care of it before finalizing.
  5. Finalize and deliver
Once you’re satisfied and payment is received, I’ll send you all finalized files and (if applicable) e-file your return. You’ll get clean, clear documents for your records—no stress, no surprises.

I’ll let you know exactly what I need—no guessing.
You don’t need to be good at this. I've got you.

FAQ

Nope. Everything is async. You can message me if needed, but there are no mandatory calls.

You can start the intake process whenever you’re ready. I won’t bother you with follow-ups.

Don’t worry. I’ll walk you through corrections or missing pieces. This isn’t graded.

Probably! If you're a freelancer, coach, or in a small group practice, feel free to ask (see contact details below).
